Manyu chiefs to storm C.D.C head office

A high-powered delegation of Manyu chiefs led by the newly elected president of the Manyu Chiefs Conference, HRH General James Tataw, will pay an urgent visit to the C.D.C Head Office in Bota, Limbe, to find out why the Corporation wants to pull out from Manyu Division.
    We learnt that the strong delegation will include H.E. Prof. Chief Peter Agbor Tabi, ASG of the Presidency and chief of Ndekwai; former minister and ambassador, HRH Nfor Micheal Tabong Kima of Bakebe; Senator Chief Ndiep Nso TabeTando of Batchuo Ntai; Senator Chief Anjia Simon, and Chief Justice Bechem amongst others.   
    The decision to make the trip was taken during a recent meeting of the Manyu Chiefs Conference, after the Chiefs were hinted by one theirs that the C.D.C was planning to withdraw from the division for yet unknown reasons.

    Other important resolutions of the conference included calls on the Head of State, President Paul Biya to upgrade Akwaya to a fully-fledged division, as well as create more administrative units (sub divisions) in Upper Banyang and Eyumojock Sub Divisions.
    The chiefs renewed their commitment and loyalty as auxiliaries of government. They made a passionate appeal to the Head of State to order the start of construction works on the Mamfe - kumba road.
    Before officially handing over of the baton of command to Nfor General Tataw James, the out-going Chairman of the Manyu Chiefs Conference, H.R.H AKomarrah Stanley Etta regretted that his three years stewardship was marred by nonchalant attitude by some chiefs. Nfor Akomarrah however thanked some of his peers for their support. 
    Representing the administration, the second assistant S.D.O. for Manyu, Abi Tabi Jacob, noted that activities of the Chiefs Conference have been low-keyed in the past three years but hoped that the in-coming team would make its presence felt by initiating projects that will benefit the population. He assured the chiefs that the SDO would lend his support to them whenever and where ever needed.
    Other speakers at the conference included the first deputy Mayor to the Mamfe Council, Mr. Agbor Benson Besong and Senator Chief Tabe tando.
