L. P Motaze elected Vice President of ACBF

The MINEPAT, Louis Paul Motaze, is now VP of ACBF
Cameroon’s Minister of the Economy, Planning and Regional Development has been elected the Vice President of the Board of Governors of the African Capacity Building Foundation ACBF, a release issued by the MINEPAT has announced.
                Louis Paul Motaze was elected by acclamation, during the 26th session of the Board of Governors holding in Accra, Ghana, from 3 to 7 September 2017, the release affirmed.
                It said guided by the theme for this year’s deliberations: “Reinforcing Capacities, Ameliorating Access and Absorption of Resources Towards the Development of Africa,” Ministers of Economy and/or Finance from different member countries contemplated new ways and means of tackling acute challenges faced by the continent.

                Speaking at the meeting Louis Paul MotazeMotaze underscored the interest that President Paul Biya attaches to reinforcing the capacities of personnel and services especially in an era when efficient solutions are sought for the many problems faced by economies of the African region.
                Created in 1991 by African Heads of State and development partners, including the World Bank, the ADB and UNDP, the ACBF has as its supreme organ, the Board of Governors, which comprises of Ministers of Economy and/or Finance of member states and other important non-regional partners.
                The Board of Governors is also the organ that deliberates and gives strategic orientation to the body.
                The headquarters of the ACBF is in Harare, Zimbabwe.
