Biya & Wife Shower Kumba IDPs with Goodies

Internally Displaced Persons, IDPs in Kumba, Chief Town of
Meme Division have received some consignments of New Year gifts from the
Presidential couple. The items from Paul and Chantal Biya consisting
mattresses, blankets, cartons of sugar, soap, rice among others were recently
distributed from the IDPs drawn from Kumba I, II and III Subdivisions.

Ndong Chamberlain, Meme SDO and Tchuente Gilbert, Director in charge of Civil
Protection in the Ministry of Territorial Administration supervised the
distribution exercise at the Amusement park.
The SDO while lauding the generosity of the Presidential
couple to the needy in the crisis period expressed happiness with the turnout
of the population assured them that more gifts would be ferried in a fortnight
for those who will not be able to receive.

Nkelle Victor, Government Delegate to the Kumba City Council to the queue to
laud the gesture which he said keeps the town lively and hopeful for better
days ahead.
The
Director of Civil Protection in MINAT, Tchuente Gilbert, assured the population
that the next consignment will be sent to meet their exigencies, adding, that
government will not relent its efforts to distribute the items aimed at
ameliorating the conditions of his compatriots hit by the crisis. Items for
Konye and Mbonge Sub-Divisions, the SDO, said shall be handed in their
respective areas by the Divisional Officers.
