The international community reference health centre is a general hospital which handles all medical cases. It also has an intensive cardiac care unit and a vascular scan unit.
Offering its services at very affordable costs, the reference hospital also boasts of more than 5 main units: An X-ray unit; cardio-vascular unit; an ultra-sound unit for echography; critical care unit for patients with critical cases like accidents; and a culture and conference unit. There are also 3 laboratories with an incubator and blood bank.
For security measures, the hospital runs under a 24 hour strict security surveillance on a daily basis with modern security cameras which can be tracked 2 years back. And with the recurrent cases of baby theft in hospitals, authorities of the hospital have taken preventive measures by putting the delivery ward directly under camera surveillance more than any other area in the premises.

After a tour of the premises led by the Chemical pathologist and lab technician, Ikema Collins alongside the proprietor, Essa Pius, it was discovered that the infrastructural design and facilities present awe-rendering. There are air conditioned rooms in the private ward, electronic controlled beds, well equipped surgery ward etc.
The staff strength stands at 35 workers: 4 general practitioners, a gynecologist, a surgeon and a chemical pathologist. So far, the hospital has registered no deaths, has carried out 7 major surgeries among which the most recent was on a new born with two heads as was the case at the mile 1 hospital in Limbe.
According to the CEO, Essa Pius, the operation was successful and the baby is faring just well thanks to the expertise and modern facilities the hospital can boast of. It should be noted that one of the major specialties of the surgery ward is on urinary tract surgery.
As concerns the drugs at the hospital, The Median was informed that reference hospital gets its drugs only from the two major drug laboratories in Cameroon, which are still scanned  in their own lab to avoid the  case of giving out fake drugs to patients. In the address to the press, the panel of health practitioners prescribed for all Cameroonians preventive checks for kidney, heart and lungs even when they are doing fine health wise.
Worthy to note that Essa Pius Tabi who hails from Manyu division is a former indomitable lion who later travelled to the United States and studied health information management and nursing. He also has certificates in cardiac life support and other health domains. His inspiration comes from his passion to help the vulnerable in society.
