New CMF President hails predecessor, Ntumfor Barr. Nico Halle
- Sir Asah Mbenkum has also pledged to construct a permanent building to house CMF National Secretariat and reinforce outreach programs

The new National President of the Christian Men’s Fellowship, CMF of the Presbyterian Church in Cameroon, PCC, Sir Asah Mbenkum Williams has said that evangelization, continuation of the outreach programs started by the former exco and the construction of a permanent structure to host the National Office of CMF will preoccupy the new exco.

    He spoke to the Median shortly after his brilliant election as National president of CMF, at an elective General Assembly at Church Centre Mankon on Saturday August 30th, 2014.
    Sir Asah Mbenkum takes over from the venerated lawyer of international renown and peace crusader, Barrister Ntumfor Nico Halle, who stepped down despite sustained calls from within and without the PCC for him to stay on for another mandate.
    “We will continue with evangelization and the outreach programs started by our big brother Barrister Nico Halle,” Mbenkum pledged, noting that under the leadership of the renowned Barrister and Ntumfor the CMF succeeded in winning many more souls for Christ. He added that “We will continue from where they stopped because the main objective of the CMF is to evangelize and make people to Know God following the great commission in the book of Mathew.”
    He expressed the hope that with God’s guidance and the patronage of the former president Nico Halle and the contribution of all CMF members, they would be able to construct a befitting edifice for the National Office and the National secretary of CMF.
    Above all he said they will ensure that uniforms and other materials meant for the CMF like their brouch, membership cards and rules and regulation are in regular and constant stock so that members use them when they want.
    “As agreed by the National Executive we will do our best so that the production of the study book that comes out at the end of the year fully becomes a joint venture with its production made steadily available by raising contributions,” Mbenkum added.
    Before the election, Barrister Ntumfor Nico Halle was honored with a throne made of bamboo and scepter by CMF members for his successful five year tenure which many have described as hugely successful.
    Handing over the gifts, the representatives of the CMF extolled the Ntumfor, reminding him of his invaluable legacy in the CMF and that he would remain in their hearts for ever. 
    Speaking to the press after the meeting, Ntumfor Nico Halle, who is also an international election observer described the elections as free, fair, transparent, credible and acceptable. He sounded upbeat that Asah Mbenkum who served as his vice, would steer the CMF ship to even safer shores.
