The population of Limbe Down beach were
Saturday 15 July taken aback after a corpse was discovered on the Beach.
The
incident which occurred during the early hours of the afternoon following a
heavy down pour that brought the corpse with the help of some fishermen was an
eye-catching one.
According
to eye witnesses, the hands and legs had been half eaten by fishes. Its stomach
was swollen as a result of excess in take of water.
Some
concerned individuals frown on this act of the corpse being abandoned saying it
is the responsibility of the council to dispose off the dead body and not just
allowed its lifeless at the seashore.
Meanwhile
some gendarmes that were at the scene say the rain is acting as a stumbling
block for the corpse to be disposed. While the cause of this dead is still to
be uncovered, many people wonder if the
man in question is from Cameroon.
