Gov’t procures 800.000 dialysis kits
Kidney patients in the country can now
force a smile and heave a sigh of relief following the procurement by
government of over 800.000 dialysis kits for the treatment and follow-up of
patients with kidney failure. The Minister of Health, Andre Mama Fouda, Friday,
handed the kits to officials of the Yaounde Central hospital dialysis centre
and those from dialysis centres in other hospitals in the country.
It
is hoped that the kits will help alleviate the crisis that has rocked dialysis
centres in the country in the past recent months, whereby kidney patients
complain of inadequate follow-up of their ailment due to lack of or broken down
dialysis equipment.
