Limbe City Council launches major road projects |
The inhabitants of Towe quarters and the
Limbe population in general have been urged to support and preserve the
development vision of the Limbe City Council in its determined drive to
modernize the city.
The
call came from the government delegate of the Limbe City Council Motanga Andrew
Monjimba, as he launched Saturday 8 July, some major development projects of
the City Council for the 2017 financial year. The projects include the tarring
of CDE junction to Towe quarters; grading and construction of drainages on the
road from Central police station through Bakoko to unity quarters; the
beautification of the Regional hospital mile 1 among others.
Motanga
Andrew revealed that the CDE junction-Towe road has been contracted to KJBTP
Sarl for a whopping sum of FCFA 995 million (994.411.815). It has a deadline of
8 months.
For
its part, the central police station to unity quarter road was contracted to
SEMIC BTP at the cost of FCFA 249 million. It will be completed within a
6-month dateline.
Meanwhile,
FCFA 94 million has been allocated to Etombi Enterprise for the beautification
of the Limbe Regional hospital within 6 months.
The
government delegate said the projects may be costly but the population of Limbe
are deserving of good infrastructure especially giving their constant support
to the Limbe City Council and the government in place.
Presiding
at the launch, the SDO for Fako Division Zang 111 (now retired), called on the
population of Limbe to continue to support and preserve the peace, stability
and infrastructural development of the Limbe City Council.
