Camtel Women Pledge Full Support to DG Yah Judith Sunday

Female personnel of Camtel have been urged to redouble their inputs, federate efforts with their male folk and be determinant contributors to the company’s growth. Judith Yah Sunday epse Achidi, Camtel’s Director General, made the call while addressing women of the company on Sunday 8 March 2020.
                This was during a ceremony at the Camtel club in Yaounde were the women had gathered to celebrate the 35th International Women’s Day.
                Yah Judith described Camtel women as the bedrock of the company. She urged them to be shining examples in restoring the company’s image and be committed to ensuring its growth. 
                The DG reminded the women how crucial their commitment is in piloting the company’s new course which focuses on Change Management and Customer Centricity as outlined in the 2020 strategic plan.
                “Our livelihoods depend entirely on it. Women are known for their sense of direction, their consistency, their resilience, their generosity and their love for the family. We are a family of which Camtel is the father. It is therefore up to us to support this parent to the best of our ability so that it can ensure our subsistence and better still, that it is able to fulfill its Corporate Social Responsibility missions,” Yah Judith appealed, pledging to stop at nothing in accompanying Camtel women to bring out the best in them, giving them a voice and placing them in their rightful positions.

                “Out  of  the 145  Sub-Directors  and  Directors  in  Camtel,  47  are  women, a percentage  of  32.42%. Of the total 3243 workers, 1118 are women (34.5%). This is above the Beijing requirement of 30%,” she disclosed, promising to do more in line with intensifying trainings to develop the capacities of women to align them to international standards and meet the company’s dream of becoming digital business leader in the entire Central African Sub region by 2025.
                She urged them to federate efforts the more with the men for output that would marvel their clients, clear all internal debts and motivate them for more enchanting results that cannot be achieve without teamwork.   
                The DG reminded them of their determinant contribution to attaining the company’s objective by being assiduous, diligently serve customers, protect and project the company’s brand image, jealously preserve the company’s property, commit themselves to implementing the company’s 2019-2025 strategic plan, be at the forefront of actions and be bearers of the new corporate culture the company wishes to implement within the society.
                She appreciated the massive participation of the women at the march past at the 20th May Boulevard in front of the First Lady, Mrs Chantal Biya and hailed Camtel’s women football team for winning the 2020 “Women's Cup” tournament.
                She acknowledged the organizing committee of Camtel Women's Association for not only skillfully mixing sporting activities, conferences, crafts but also socials through visits and donations to orphans, and the brilliant workshops they organized throughout the intense weeklong activities.
                Finally, she congratulated Mrs Nga Mveng Essomba Appolonie Noelle, for her brilliant election as parliamentarian for YaoundĂ© V in the just ended twin polls. 
                In response, Ntsama Zang Gisele, Camtel Women President, praised the DG for giving priority to women. She assured her of their total support as she strives to live up the expectations of Cameroonians and President Biya.
