The section President of CPDM Meme 1A, TABOT LAWSON BAKIA alias ‘Njalla’ has promised to flush out the opposition party in meme 1A especially the SDF so that the CPDM will recover their council and the lone parliamentary seat which is presently managed by the SDF party.
Njalla made this promise during the 31st Anniversary celebration of the CPDM party that took place at the party secretariat in Kumba, on 24 March 2016. Taking a retrospective look at the party 31 years down the road, he opined that the CPDM under Biya as the National President has achieved much in terms of development and peace, as can be seen in the current fight to eradicate the Boko Haram insurgency in the Far North of the country.
He used the opportunity to congratulate the soldiers fighting relentlessly against Boko Haram in the far North and urged them to do all they can to wipe out Boko Haram from our territory.
On the issue of the recent reorganization of the party’s basic organs that brought him to the helm of Meme 1A Section, Tabot Lawson said militants and sympathizers of the CPDM should put aside their differences and work for the progress of the party in Kumba I sub-division. He reminded the militants that the best weapon for election is to register on the electoral lists and be in possession of a voter’s card and a membership card.
Tabot Lawson however appreciated the over 1000 militants that turned out massively to give the ceremony the grandeur it witnessed.
Other speakers at the ceremony included the WCPDM and YCPDM section presidents, Mme Beatrice NtubaMbone and Humphrey Andong respectively.
Also in attendance were the Government Delegate to the Kumba City Council, Victor NkeleNgoh, former mayor and government delegate, CavenNnokoMbele and Hon David NgohMotasse amongst others. The former section president of Meme I A Prince EkaleMukete was conspicuously absent.
