Air France Plane narrowly misses crash at Douala Airport



An Air France passenger Jet from Malabo, that landed at the Douala International Airport  to pick up passengers to the Charles de Gaule Airport Paris partially went into flames as it was taking off on  Monday, November 27, 2017.
                Sources say the AF 953 Airliner was taking off with hundreds of passengers on board from the Douala International Airport, when it began losing kerosene at low attitude, followed by an outburst of flames.
                Seeing the fire, the pilot quickly turned around to land again on the runway of Douala International Airport. After this emergency landing, firefighters managed to extinguish the fire whose cause is still to be determined.

                Even though Air France refused to comment about the incident, on their website, they however indicated that the flight AF 953, that was to leave the Douala International Airport on Monday Nov. 27, 2017 at 11:40 p.m for the Charles De Gaule Airport in Paris has been cancelled
                Passengers on board were lodged at Bano Palace Hotel and other hotels in Douala, and were told they might fly on the night of Tuesday breaking Wednesday Nov. 19, 2017.
