CENAJES B’da sends out 52 sports instructors
21 senior instructors and 31 instructors have graduated from the National Center of Youths and Sports, Bamenda with a call on them to shun corruption in the school milieu.
The Minister of Sports and Physical Education BidoungMpkatt, who was on his first official outing as minister of sports after the September cabinet reshuffle presided at the graduation and diploma award ceremony.
Minister BidoungMpkatt’s presence in Bamenda for the graduation ritual on October 23, 2015 at the Bamenda Congress Hall came 10 years after he was in Bamenda to lay the foundation stone of the institution in 2005.
In a welcome address, the Secretary General to the Bamenda City Council, Jude Waindim on behalf of the Government Delegate and the Bamenda population thanked the Minister for coming in person observing that the gesture will serve as a motivating force to the laureates.

He however, regretted that that the institution is void of a befitting physical image because of lack of sports infrastructure and called on government through the minister to look on the issue.
This was corroborated by the Director of the institution, So Diffang who amongst other things said the school lacks an up to date football field, a handball field, a library, telephone lines, computers and a means of transportation.
He revealed that because of the absence of a fence which renders the school vulnerable, thieves broke in to the school three just within the 2014/2015 academic year. Mr. So Diffang added that encroachment into the school land is rampant because the school is yet to have a land title.
He was however positive that despite the lacunas, the graduates had undergone serious nurturing and were ripe for the challenging task of training other students.
Putting into context the graduation ceremony, Minister BidoungMpkatt            in his address said the demand for physical education teachers on the field remains very high given the continuous creation of numerous schools in all sectors.
“The conception of training programs in these training institutions in 2013 shows the importance the government attaches to the effective training of students” noted the minister.
To the students urged them to be exemplary civil servants who are effectively present and exercising the duties assigned to them.
“You must act as models for your students. You are no longer a responsibility but a responsible Cameroonians from now on” Minister BidoungMpkatt added.
The Minister before leaving for Yaounde visited the Bamenda Sports Center for a first hand appraisal.
