2020 Twin Elections:

How Kamto Frustrated Secret CPDM/SDF Plot to Frustrate CRM
-According to La Nouvelle Expression Newspaper, the withdrawal of CRM party from the February 2020 Twin Election Race was informed by a secret CPDM/SDF plan to humiliate the CRM party that claims to be the most formidable political force in Cameroon and the winner of the 2018 presidential election.

Given the porous electoral system that gives the ruling CPDM party total control over the elections management body, Elecam, and the Constitutional Council that tries electoral litigations at last and final instance and also proclaims the results of elections, the CPDM and SDF parties had stroke a secret deal to ensure a sweeping victory for the CPDM in both elections while at the same time preserving the SDF’s threatened position as the leading opposition party in the country.
According to the plan, the CPDM would conserve its overwhelming majority in Parliament and also sweep the councils throughout the country. For its part, the SDF would be helped to win as many seats in parliament as to merit a parliamentary group, as well as win as many types of council especially in the SW and North West regions.

Kamto’s CRM party for their part was going to be frustrated and humiliated at both the council and parliamentary elections. They would be given a paltry number of parliamentary seats and few types of council notably in the West region.
In this way, the CRM would be presented in the wider public as a party that makes the loudest noise but has no grassroots support.
But it appeared that Kamto was hinted of the secret plot
