Thieves Kill Businessman In D’la, Escape with Bag of Money

Thieves on board a motorbike fired at two men on a commercial motorcycle early Monday December 2 in Bonanjo-Douala Littoral region, killing a businessman and escaping with a bag containing an undisclosed sum of money.
The Guardian Post gathered that the two men left a commercial bank (name withheld) after a transaction. After about a fifty metres walk, the men are said to have boarded a commercial bike. Within minutes, the hoodlums on board another motorcycle surfaced from the unknown to loot through the use of guns.
They opened fire on the rider and the man who carried the bag of money. The thieves later escaped with the bag containing an undisclosed sum of money.
Witnesses said the thugs fired further into the air, creating panic within the area. Onlookers were frightened. The rider of the attacked motorbike was injured on the shoulder. The man who was carrying the money, later in the day, died at a health facility.

The man whose identity’ remains out of public knowledge was shot on the chest. He first dropped unconscious on the road before passersby rushed him for medical observation.
Security forces stormed the scene of the attack, questioning witnesses to get preliminary information. Investigations have been opened into the incident.
On November 5, armed men attacked a man in the New Bell vicinity of Douala II municipality, carting away two bags containing an undisclosed amount of money from his car.
In similar manner, the thieves then fired into the air severally before escaping with the loot. Bullet canisters were spotted around the area of the November incident.
The man had stepped out of his car to identify a fault on it when the thieves held him at gunpoint.
Locals recalled that one of the gunmen fired at the tyres of the car. Two others accessed the car and carried the bags containing money.
Just the recent incident, the victim of the November attack too had just emerged from a commercial bank before being attacked.
