Cameroon Cricket is growing fast

What is the aim of your second visit to Cameroon?
During our 1st visit here we worked very closely with the managers of the Cameroon Cricket Association, who took us around to the schools. I should say we were very impressed by the enthusiasm of the Association members especially its president Victor Agbor and the local school children and their teachers. It is this enthusiasm that pushed us to consider coming back to continue from where we stopped. And we promise to continue with this partnership for many more years to come. We will come over and over again, as many times as it is possible; to develop and spread cricket to the different parts of Cameroon.

How do you find the level of Cricket in Cameroon?

I think the level is appreciably high. We find people who have never played cricket before but who take great interest in the game and are picking up very fast. Some school teachers we worked with during our last visit have developed their skills a great deal. I think overall the level of cricket here is relatively high.

Apart from Cricket, how do you find the Cameroonian people?

Very welcoming! We discovered their hospitality as soon as we boarded the plane in London. We chatted with some Cameroonians in the plane and we were immediately impressed by their curiosity. Since we arrived in Yaounde on Saturday night we have found the people very welcoming and enthusiastic about us. I think we are impressed. Our impression is really good, really positive.
