Bamenda, Garoua and Yaounde have been chosen by The Fomuyoh Foundation to host the first phase of a humanitarian musical concert to raise funds to support displaced victims of the Boko Haram assault.
This shall be in partnership with Idy Oulo, a France-based Cameroonian musician from Mayo Oulo Division of the Far North Region.
This is coming on the heels of a recent humanitarian trip by a team from The Fomunyoh Foundation headed lead by its founder and president Dr. Christopher Fomunyoh, to the Far North Region to donate food items and books to internally displaced victims of the Boko Haram uprising. While there the team also paid courtesy visits to administrative, military, religious and local authorities of the region.
The book donation according to Dr. Christopher Fomunyoh is to “create some sort of psychosis in the minds of the inhabitants of Maroua", especially students.

One of the stops of the Fomunyoh caravan was at the University of Maroua. where its Rector, Prof. Ako Edward observed that the hardest hit institution was The Higher Institute of the Sahel (ISS).
He said all the ten sections that made up this institute including: livestock, water, agriculture, and mining needed attention. "Foreigners used to come here, but the security situation in the area has scared them," Prof. Ako noted.
The Director of ISS Prof. Danwe Raidandi, called on Dr. Christopher Fomunyoh to act as an ambassador of the institution so that it regains the confidence of donors.
In response, Dr. Fomunyoh acknowledged the school occupied an important position in the sub-region and assured that he was available to woe more donors for the school.
The Fomunyoh Foundation (TFF) is a not-for-profit organization founded in 1999 by Dr. Christopher Fomunyoh and a dedicated group of Cameroonians and advocates in the international democracy community. It has its headquarters in Washington, DC and is a Section 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization under the laws of the United States.
Since its launch in 1999, the Foundation organizes workshops to raise citizen awareness and strengthen the capacity of civil society organizations and journalists.
