One of Cameroon’s CAF Champions League representative, Cosmos of Bafia will be out to surprise Tunisian giants Esperance of Tunis when the two sides clash in a first round.
Cosmos will face Esperance of Tunis at the Douala Réunification Stadium on Sunday in the first leg of the CAF Champions League.
Cosmos of Bafia or Cosmos of Jesus, as they are fondly called are determining to go far in their maiden continental outing. However, in order to make this dream come true, they will have to beat Tunisian power-house Esperance of Tunis.
It will be a tough task for cosmos when they face two times CAF Champions League champs, Esperance of Tunis who won the tourney in 1994 and 2011.
It has not been easy season so far for “Cosmos of Jesus” who sit in the relegation zone with just five points after five matches in League One.
Cosmos progressed to the first round after a 3-1 aggregate win over Uganda’s Kampala City Council after losing 0-1 in the first leg but turned thing around in the second leg to win 2-0.
The return leg is scheduled for the weekend of the 3-5 of April.
