Fire ravages five shops at Buea Motor Park

By Boris Esono in Buea
Five shops at the mile 17 motor park belonging to the municipal council but owned by business individuals were razed by the fire. The incident occurred in the night of Monday last week.
According to eye witness accounts, the fire was only discovered in the morning when individuals came to get ready for business.

The DO for Buea, Mr. KouamWokam Paul immediately descended to the scene on hearing of the situation. According to him, the situation must have been caused by some electrical failure around the vicinity.
To some denizens of the town, the fire might have been set by hoodlums in retaliation to the mayor’s order of sealing shops in that observe ghost towns.

As at now, the mayor has not yet made an official statement concerning the incident.
