The two week tour took the CWB delegation through Yaounde and Obala in the Centre region to Buea and Limbe in the South West region. Their target population were school teachers and students.
“Our objective is to train the teachers to become coaches of Cricket and the students to become cricket players,” said David Terrace, the CWB Cameroon team leader, who explained that
their aim is also to empower the teachers (coaches) so that they will in turn continue to train the students and other Cameroonians when the CWB team would be gone.

David Terrace explained that  part of CWB’s mission in Cameroon was also use cricket as a vehicle to transmit messages on HIV and AIDS to school children as means towards creating greater awareness on the ravages of the dreaded pandermic.
It is worthy to mention that it was the second time that CWB was visiting Cameroon. The first visit was way back in 2012.
“We were very impressed with the performance and enthusiasm of the students and teachers during our first visit here and that was why we had to come back to put finishing touches to the training,” said Jo Clarke, CWB Cameroon Country Manager.
To the Founder-president of the Cameroon Cricket Federation, Victor Agbor Nso, the visits of CWB fall within the framework of a long-term partnership entered between CWB and the Cameroon Cricket Federation. Victor Agbor thanked CWB for keeping the faith and for the enormous investments they have made and will continue to make towards the development of Cricket in Cameroon.
The visit of CWB coincided with the launching of the Cameroon Cricket season for 2014, which in turn coincided with the International Day of the Commonwealth. The high point of the launching was a gala match that pitted the Cameroon Junior Cricket team against a selection of cricket players from among indigenes of Commonwealth countries resident in Cameroon. At the end of the gala match, the CWB delegation expressed satisfaction with the level of Cricket in Cameroon.
