Kumba

By Eddy Bokuba in Kumba

The commander of the Gendarme Military Unit in charge of specific missions to maintain law and order in Meme Division, Lieutenant Jean Pierre Thimba has been consecrated as Elder at the Eglise Presbyterienne Cameroonaise du Cameroun in Kumba. The ceremony took place on Palm Sunday at the Adolphus Clemens Good Parish situated at Buea Road, Kumba.

Officiating at the ceremony Reverend Pastor Enguelle Mvondo called on faithful to support their new Lieutenant for him to succeed in his divine mission. He said it is rare to find a military man such as Lieutenant Thimba who in-spite of his charged program in the Military still finds time to seek divine grace in church. He said giving his training to maintain law and order Lt. Thimba would fit squarely in his new role of guiding faithful to follow the ways of God.
The sermon of the day was done by Reverend Dr Bissohong Ebenezer who urged Lt. Thimba to read the Gospel very well in order to build a solid heavenly foundation for himself. He enjoined other military personnel to follow Lt. Thimba’s example and go close to God. He urged Thimba to be disciplined spiritually if he must become a true disciple of God.
The ceremony was graced with choral music from different choral groups in the Church.
