Cameroon hand Belinga World Cup mission after Finke axe

Alexandre Belinga

Cameroon named Alexandre Belinga as interim coach to replace sacked German Volker Finke just two weeks out from the start of the country's 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™ qualifying campaign.
Finke had been in charge of the Indomitable Lions since May 2013 but had come in for widespread criticism after a series of poor results.
Tombi A Roko, the president of the Cameroon football federation (Fecafoot), said that fellow Cameroonian Bonaventure Djonkep would be Belinga's assistant.
Cameroon begins their World Cup qualifying campaign against Niger on 15 November.
