Limbe Paramount Chieftaincy crisis:

Prince Johnny Manga Williams

Prince Johnny Manga William’s enthronement stalled

- In a letter sent to the king-makers, Prince Jerry Manga Williams, junior brother to Prince Johnny Manga Williams has disclaimed the former as the consensus choice for the throne. According to Prince Jerry, the Manga Williams family has too many internal problems including notably running battles in court; they cannot select a successor now.

After over 10 years of vacancy of the Paramount Throne of Victoria (now Limbe), the crisis over who becomes the successor of Prince Jesco Manga Williams, is far from over. Just when many thought that all the concerned forces had finally come to their good senses and had settled for Prince Johnny Manga Williams as the  Paramount Chief-elect, a fresh debate has been ignited that risks stalling Prince Johnny Manga’s enthronement indefinitely.
One of the frontline contenders to the throne, Prince Jerry Manga Williams has come back on his earlier position and has distanced himself from the choice of his elder brother, Prince Jonny Manga Williams as the consensus candidate of the Manga Williams (the Royal) family for the throne.
In a disclaimer dated Monday 26 October 2015, Prince Jerry Manga Williams has presented 10 points why he has decided to retract from the earlier consensus decision taken by the four concerned Princes of the Manga Williams family selecting Prince Johnny Manga Williams as Paramount Ruler-Elect of Limbe.

The following is Prince Jerry Manga Williams’ letter to the king-makers:

1.   Mindful of the RECENT AND RECURRING actions perpetrated which are steadfastly cracking the foundation walls of family union and cohesion and the object of the bloodline and territoriality of the nuclear relationship,
2. Considering the persecution and litigation perpetrated against me in many forms of procurement including third parties in the midst of the renewed family cooperation and my espousal for same.

3. Considering my human rights
4. Considering the frequency of the belligerence, detachment to family issues and the wanting of altruism,
5. Considering my intercourses and the correspondences to the effect of the foregoing preoccupation,
6. Considering the refusal to attend many family meetings called to resolve the preoccupations,
7. Considering my plethora of appeals for the consideration of the prayers to reinforce the solid foundation and stop the stationary apprenticeship of decampment, partisanship and vindictiveness,
8. Considering the wanting of the threshold mark to meet the crucible of the object of my espousal for the institution of Chiefhood in favour of propriety, aptness and INCLUSIONISM of all stakeholders and actors of the communities,
9. Considering the object of the foregoing to beg the attention of and the allusion to John Manga Williams,
10. I am here disassociating myself from the solemn espousal to select John Manga Williams as the choice of the Manga Williams family to the office of Paramount chiefdom in Limbe.
In the midst of the seeming forecast of a few persons criticizing this decision, may I respond in advance to this likelihood that reference shall be made to the many criminal court suits procured by him at this time against me; the conspiracy to prevent the defence of inheritance and the perpetration of home terrorism, things he is intended to put to order in the abode. Until such a volte-face is practiced by him within a fortnight, I shall pray and be in motion the house G.A. to consider a new-fangled choice to the helm of the Limbe Paramount Chiefship.
This disclaimer is not intended to serve the purpose of attracting inferences to any suspicion that the Manga Williams family is not the Ruling House of Limbe. The article on the Law of Chieftaincy stipulates succession warranting the evidence of bloodline and death certificate of the wisher’s father for ascertainment. It is also not intended to dissuade stakeholders and other aspirants from the common wealth and auxilliarization with the Manga Williams Family Paramount Chiefship.
