Brenda stops by, Paul Junior stays away from ENAM inaugural
ceremony
The official launching ceremony of the 2017/2018 Academic
year of the National School of Administration and Magistracy - ENAM took place
on Monday, 8 January 2018, at the school’s
campus.
Everyone
was expecting to catch a glimpse of the
Presidential kids Brenda Biya and Paul Biya Junior, who were among the list of
successful candidates of both the written and orals of the entrance
examination, and who were absent on the opening date on 18 December 2017.
However,
Paul Biya Junior was nowhere around the school campus, but his little sister
Brenda stopped by but did not step out of the vehicule that brought her.
Sources said she was warry of public and side comments, to the extent that the
protocol had to intervene and isolate her.
Meanwhile
the children of Cavaye Yeguie Djibril, Speaker of the National Assembly, three
of them, were also present. They are said to be in the same class with Brenda
Biya.
Not all
656 students who gained admission into ENAM this year answered present for the
inaugural. Those absent were said to be mostly from the English speaking
regions.
The
batch was christened 'Peace and Unity', by the Director General of the
institution, Linus Toussaint MENDJANA, who called on the freshmen to respect
discipline, as well be patriotic to the state. He warned them against engaging
in any secessionist activities.
Created
in 1959, ENEAM trains senior administrative and judicial functionaries to serve
the state.
Breaking
with tradition, ENAM welcomes students in Common Law for the first time. There
were also 113 foreign students in this batch.
