Athletes get set to defy the chariot of the gods |
18-year old
Jeremiah Mufo has emerged winner of the 2018 edition of the mount Cameroon Test
Race which took place over the weekend in Buea. He came ahead of 2016 winner,
Simplice Ndungeh, doing the race in 2hrs, 0mins, and 57secs.
The race is in prelude to the
23rd edition of the Mount Cameroon Race of Hope which is scheduled for the 17th
of February 2018.
The test race saw a huge turnout
of athletes from across the SWR and beyond with a total of about 150 athletes
taking part in the test race.
In the female category,
Bridgette Noga’a won the race in 4hrs, 21mins and 30secs.
British man, Mike Short has been
named as Ambassador of Race of Hope. He was winner of the 1984 and 1985
editions of the Mt. Cameroon Race
