Four Benefit from Bui Family Union Scholarship

Bui Family Union, USA, an association of development- driven people who hail from Bui division based in the USA and who aim at improving education, health and helping to foster and preserve the rich cultural heritage of Bui Division have donated a FCFA 3.9 million worth of scholarship to four students from Bui.
    The annual Excellence Scholarship Award donated in partnership with the Nso Development and Cultural Association, NSODA is given to students, who excel at both General Certificate of Education Ordinary and Advance Levels exams.
    Herman Kumbong, an ex-student of Sacred Heart College Mankon, was ranked first in the selection criteria received the sum of FCFA 1,160,000 million.  Lemfon Ndzedzenyuy, from St Augustine’s College, SAC Nso, ranked second received FCFA 870,000 while Mbulai Kalamai  an ex-student of St Albert’s College Bafut was given FCFA 580,000. Mbah Shayeh also an ex-student of the Sacred Heart College Mankon received the sum of FCFA 290,000.
    While handing over the packages to the student lately in Kumbo, Nformi Stephen Ndzerem NSODA President General asked the beneficiaries to use the scholarships judiciously.
    He encouraged them to continue producing outstanding results while urging other groups in and out of Cameroon to emulate the example of BFU USA and her partners.

NSODA President General lauded the government of Cameroon for being the number one partner in development of Bui Division. He equally hailed the NSODA executive and Branch Presidents, the Bui Administration, the Bui Education Family and other stakeholders who hold and support the NSODA new vision.
    The beneficiaries all hailed the BFU USA and her partners for lending them a hand of support and for being good big brothers and sisters. The support, they said, has boasted their education dreams and those of their loved ones. While promising to use the money judiciously, they also promised to emulate their example by lending a hand to others in the near future.
Bui Secondary Education Delegate William Asah Mbenkum urged principals to ensure that students apply for the BFU scholarships at the release of the GCE Results. He thanked BFU for being partners with the government of Cameroon to bring meaningful development to Bui.
    The Secondary Education Family wished the BFU Scholarship of Excellence could be extended to the Technical Education Systems  and that girls, considering their vulnerability could have a column in the BFU projects so that they too could benefit from the scholarships.
    Apart from education, the BFU USA has been very active in the health domain in Bui. Last year, in collaboration with NSODA they donated medical equipment to health centers and hospitals in Bui Division worth more than FCFA 300 Million.
