Senegalese president MackySall paid a brief working visit to Cameroon last week to review relations between Cameroon and his country. On his way from the Antananarivo francophonie summit which rounded up last weekend in Madagascar, president MackySall stopped over in Yaounde. He arrived at the YaoundeNsimalen airport at about 1; 30 pm where he was received by the Prime minister head of government Philemon Yang with whom he had a brief discussion at the presidential lounge amidst singing and dancing from the Senegalese community in Yaounde who turned out in their numbers at the courtyard of the presidential lounge to assure their president of the support of the Senegalese Diaspora to his project of emergence.
Shortly after his arrival and the warm welcome, President MackySall headed for the Unity Palace where he had a tete-a-tete with President Paul Biya and was treated to a state dinner by the presidential couple before his return to the air port and final departure to Senegal.

In an interview with the press at the air port while awaiting flight, the Senegalese president told the media that his visit was a technical one and very necessary for him to express his fraternal greetings and crystallize friendship that has always existed between his country Senegal and Cameroon. The tete a tete with President Biya he said was an occasion for him to discuss burning issues plaguing the continent like the fight against terrorism and its consequences, and to present his condolences and that of the Senegalese government to Cameroons head of state following the tragic Eseka train accident and the victims of the numerous terrorist attacks from the northern part of the country.
MackySall promised to come back on an official or friendly visit in future. The plane transporting the Senegalese president took off at exactly 5; 45 pm from the Yaoundé Nsimalen airport for Senegal.
