Lions greeted to popular support in Gabon

Supporters led by Bissay Carnos President of the Organizing Committee to support Lions last evening were at the Leon Mbah International Airport to welcome the national team, the Indomitable Lions to the 31st edition of the Total Africa Cup of Nations, Gabon 2017.
About 6000 supporters from 360 associations have been mobilized with the support of the Cameroon Embassy in Gabon to drum up support for the Lions when they take on the Stallions of Burkina Faso on Saturday during the second opening game and during the competition.
Bissay and the supporters decided to accompany the Lions to ensure that the team does not just figure but make a good showing during the competition.

Cameroonian supporters equally organised their AFCON village where those who can’t make it to the stadium would be meeting every match day.
On the sidelines Bissay has hailed President Ali Bongo for offering a football feast to his people.
“I want to thank President Ali Bongo who has proven that he loves his people by offering them this football feast, football lovers are mobilized to make the competition a success,” Bissay stated.
“Three months ago there was no certainty that AFCON was going to actually hold in Gabon”. It is within this context that Bissay hailed the determination and courage of the president to host the competition.
