Consequence of internet shutdown:

K’ba browsers complain of lost email addresses and passwords
By Johnson BatuoKumba
While most denizens of Kumba are still jumping for joy following the restoration of internet on 21 April 2017 by Government, many say they cannot celebrate because the long period of the shutdown caused them to forget their email addresses and especially their passwords.
Those complaining are mostly persons who owned email addresses but cannot manipulate android devices.  Some of them told The Median that they have forgotten their email addresses as well as their passwords.

And their frustration is not helped by the fact that some cyber café operators who created the emails for these “internet illiterates” have all relocated to other towns or have simply changed jobs.
A cyber café operator in FiangoKumba, who has hailed the reinstatement of internet, told The Median that most of what she is doing now is to create new email addresses and passwords for her former customers. She said the majority of those she is helping are persons who entrusted their emails and passwords with her.
