Mbonge Mayor promises more development

The Mayor of Mbonge Council who doubles as the paramount ruler of the Mbonges, Chief Daniel MattaMokambe has promised to continue with the good development steps of the municipality that is gradually changing the face of the municipality. Chief Mokambe made the assures while speaking on the occasion of the first ordinary session of the council aimed at examining and adopting the administrative and management accounts for the year 2016 on Monday April 17, 2017.
                While addressing the councilors, noted that administrative and management account sessions are statutory to examine the budgetary expenditure of the council’s achievement in the previous year. He used the occasion to remind councilors to all be part of the development of the municipality reason why he urged them all to involve team work so as to maintain and improve on the good footing of the council.

                Mayor Mokambe recounted areas in which the council recorded good results in development in the council such as construction of slaughter slab, provision of land for a motor park, provision of benches and didactic materials to schools, provision of partial scholarships, assistance to the disable, assistance to FENASCO B games, provision of boreholes, road grading and maintenance amongst sundry others. Equally as an achievement, the mayor revealed the hygiene and sanitation sector of the council which has always been a major problem has been made very effective to ensure the municipality is clean. The also revealed that a total of FCFA 846 721 744 was collected as revenue in the year 2016 while FCFA 826 336 340 with an excess of FCFA 26 685 398.
                The session was presided over by the First assistant SDO for Meme, VerklineEpolewaneMbua who congratulated the mayor for the 72% realization rate and urged him to do more all for the betterment of the population.
