Soldiers go Berseck as Colleague is Killed in B’da

A 24 year military man was whose name The Median got as Ekobo Ngadele Anatole was on Thursday February 8, 2018 stabbed to death by some unknown individuals who alighted from a taxi.
                Ekobo Ngadele Anatole was one of the military guys guiding one of the financial institutions at Commercial Avenue and had left his duty post to look for something to eat at about 8 pm but was unfortunately killed as he was returning and his gun confiscated.
                His killing angered forces of law and order who launched a manhunt on the perpetrators and in the process started molesting anybody they saw. The molestation went throughout the night till the next morning where inhabitants were forced to observe a ghost town due to heavy military presence.
                The killing of the security officer came on the same day a bike rider and his passenger were shot early in the morning by the gendarmes on patrol at the Sonac Street for failing to stop when they asked them to stop.

                Unconfirmed reports reaching say the passenger shot earlier in the day later died from his gunshot wounds at the hospital. So many other bike riders were also reportedly shot by forces of law and order who are executing an order banning movement of bikes as from 9 pm.
                Forces of law and order in the different towns of the North West region have of late been restive following sporadic attacks by some unidentified assailants believed to belong to the separatist group who more often than not appear masked. This has left casualties in the ranks of the military and in the civilian population.
                On February 1, 2018 two elements of the gendarmes were butchered and abandoned by the assailants in in Mbingo, Belo sub division of Boyo. The same day in Nkwen, Mezam, a soldier who was guarding the BOCOM petrol station was shot and killed masked assailants who were on bikes.
                On the 28 of January, a gendarme officer was killed by unknown men at a control post in Tadu, Bui Division. Chief warrant officer Ngando Robert was shot in the eye an slaughtered and his seized.
                A week earlier, a gendarme officer was killed by robbers in Weh, Mecnchum division as they were pushed back in their attempt to break into a financial institution.
