Insecurity in NW and SW:

Medical Doctor Shot in B’da
A young physician in Bamenda in the North West region, Dr Veh Dinga-Nyoh of PMI Nkwen, was shot on the back on Monday morning on her way to work by a gendarme officer.
Dr Veh Dinga-Nyoh was shot on the lower part of the back on the right side. We understand she was in a taxi heading to work this morning when the gendarme opened fire for yet unknown reasons. Dr Veh was alone in the taxi with the driver who was not hurt.

She was carried to the Bamenda regional hospital for urgent surgical intervention. But latest reports said she has been transferred to the Bingo Baptist Hospital that has better conditions to handle her situation.
It is understood that urgent surgical intervention is need to remove the bullets from her body and to verify if any damages have been caused in her internal organs especially as the bullet hole is so close to the kidney.
