Million-Worth Health Center inaugurated in Kossala

The Lord
Mayor of Kumba II council, Martin Forcha Ndobegang has been congratulated by
the population of Kosala for his endless development projects in the Kumba II
municipality in general and the Kosala neighbourhood in particular.
The words of congratulation were
given to the Mayor by the population on the occasion of the inauguration of the
newly constructed integrated Kosala Health Center at the tune of FCFA 78
million on Tuesday February 20, 2018.
While addressing the visibly happy
people of Kosala, Mayor Forcha Ndobegang Martin revealed that the modern
Integrated Health Center which he considers as one of his greatest achievement
will help improve on the health conditions of the population which hitherto has
been a call for concern. He as well urged the beneficiaries to preserve the
structure jealously ensure the workers are always kept busy. To him if
everything goes on well the integrated health center will in the future be
upgraded to a hospital.
He thank all those who collaborated
with the council to provide the land where the modern structure has been
erected promised more will be done in the days ahead as concerns lacking
facilities. “We at out level have already dug a well for temporal use and we in
the days ahead award the contract for the construction of a modern borehole at
the center” Mayor Forcha promised adding that an application has been deposited
for the extension of water to the health center as well as the installation of
a three phase transformer that will help regulate the voltage and prevent the
equipment from been destroyed.

Oh his part
the District Medical Officer for Meme, Dr. Ebongo Zacks Nanje said the newly
constructed health structure is a stitch in time as it comes at a time when
Kossala is experiencing population explosion, with epidemics being the order of
the day.
He noted that the well equipped
structure was constructed on the prescription of the Ministry of Public Health
and has a modern laboratory that can handle pregnant women.
The occasion was presided over by
the Divisional Officer for Kumba II, Edwin Nkenyan Ngwana, representing the
Senior Divisional Officer. He promised to forward the worries of the Mayor and
the workers at the center to the hierarchy for immediate actions to be taken
towards handling them.
The integrated health center was
created in 2012 by the Ministry of Public Health and went operational on a
rented temporal structure from January 5, 2015. It has a a staff strength of
twelve and only four of the twelve are under government payroll.
