Executive members of the Cameroon Nambudo Federation, FECANA, have lambasted the Federation president over what they describe as his poor management of the federation. The disgruntled exco members say that Francois Mbassi’s poor management has taken the otherwise vibrant federation decades backwards.
The executive members exposed the iniquities and illegalities of their Federation President at a press conference in Yaounde, on Saturday 17 February 2018.
Speaking to journalists at the Camtel Club in Yaounde, the 1st Vice president of FECANA, Maitre Nyamssi Paul, condemned in strong terms the chaotic management of his boss, Francois Mbassi, whom he indicted for running the Federation alone, without consulting any body or convening any meetings of the executive bureau to present his financial and other accounts.
Maitre Nyamssi also accused the minister of sports and physical education, Bidoung Mkpatt of throwing a blind eye to Mbassi’s activities thus encouraging him to continue with his wrongdoings. He said several complaints and memoranda sent to the MINSEP have neither been acknowledged nor replied.

Other speakers at the press conference including the national technical director, maitre Choua Pierre and maitre Matip Tang, an expert in Sambo, both took turns to lament about Francois Mbassi’s poor management.
The complainants said a solution to the crisis in the Nambudo federation can only be found if all the actors are convened in a general assembly to iron out their differences.
It should be noted that Francois Mbassi has been expelled from the international Nambudo Association because of his activities in his local federation.
