Charged with Terrorism, Secession:

Death Sentence Dangles over Sisikou
Sisiku Julius Ayuk and nine others have been charged with terrorism, secession
The State of Cameroon has finally slammed charges on the leaders of the Ambazonia, who ten months ago were arrested in Nigeria and extradited to Cameroon and are presently being detained at the Kondengui Maximum Security Prison in Yaounde.
The charges were leveled against the Ambazonia Leaders Tuesday, 27 November, by the Yaoundé Military Tribunal, 10 full months after the leaders were arrested and held in captivity.
Among the charges brought against Sisiku Julius Ayuk Tabe and nine others are terrorism, apology to terrorism, secession, inciting violence, disrespect for the constitution, propagation of false information, non-possession of Identity cards etc etc.
They were hurriedly brought before the Magistrate at the Yaoundé Military Court without the knowledge of their lawyers, sources close to the matter reveal. However, the Lawyers hurriedly sent a team which represented the 10 persons.

The case is coming just 12 days after an appeal for their release under habeas corpus was rejected by the Centre Appeals Court seating in Yaoundé.
The charges are similar to the ones held against Barrister Agbor Balla and Dr Fontem Neba until the case was discontinued.
It was similar charges which sent other activists like Mancho Bibixy, Penn Terence to prison. Even though Government tagged them “secessionists” nothing was said in that light. However, it is still unclear how the State of Cameroon would argue a case for non-possession of ID cards owing to the fact that these persons were arrested in foreign land.
The case would be formally opened on 6 December.
