Towards a Better Realization
The first ASDO for Fako, Bejidi Otto 11 Richard Williams has called on the councilors of Limbe 111 to be more united so as to achieve their developmental plans in 2019 and succeed in the upcoming municipal election. He spoke to the councilors during the examination of the 2019 draft budget on Friday 14 December 2018 at the council chambers.
                Bejidi Otto urged the councilors to present a realistic budget so as to be able to realize their targets.
                As for the council staffers, be exhorted them to be effectively mobilized to meet the set goals of the council. He urged the mayor to work closely with the administration and competent services.
                As for the inhabitants of the municipality, the ASDO called on them to pay their taxes and shun all forms of violence and unlawful behaviour.
                On his part, the Mayor of Limbe 111council Nzeke Didotti Luma thanked the councilors for their collaborative spirit towards development.
                Presenting his development roadmap for 2019, the mayor mentioned the effective materialization of the Limbe 111 council housing scheme through the surrender of land by CDC, the completion and equipping of the Limbe 111 council chambers, the installation of an electric pump, construction of a water tank and street taps among other vital projects.
                While presenting the 2019 draft budget, the mayor noted that the draft budget witnessed a decrease from FCFA 1, 135,724,790 in 2018 to FCFA 831, 000,000. He said the drop is base on the fact that the housing scheme did not take off in 2018 as expected due to the problem of non-surrender of land by CDC. He explained that the non-realization of such a high budget projects had a negative reflection on the execution rate of the budget.

                He however said that with the creation of the Ministry of Decentralization and Local Development in March 2018, the Public Investment Budget allocation for 2019 witnessed an increase from FCFA 121,550,000 to FCFA 276,828,000 with MINDDEVEL contributing FCFA 100,000,000 the amount. He added that projects to be funded by MINDDEVEL have already been identified and validated by the SDO and submitted to MINEPAT Yaounde for programming.
                According to the mayor, the recurrent revenue stands at FCFA 286,272,000 making 34.4% of the budget to be derived from fiscal revenue, proceeds from indirect taxes, and council additional taxes amongst others, while investment revenue stands at FCFA 544,728,000 making 65.6% of the budget. Under expenditure, the recurrent expenditure stood at FCFA 334,000,000 making 40.2% and investment expenditure stood at FCFA 497,000,000 representing 59.8% to be derived through council revenue sources, capital grants from FEICOM, PNDP, the State and other donors.
                The mayor acknowledged that 2018 has not been an easy one from every perspective with the council losing three of its own. A council staff and two prominent councilors in the person of Esebou Mokate Samuel and Sondi Quan Moses who had contributed significantly to the development of the council and the municipality as a whole.
