Is Fecafoot Succession from Father to SON?

The dust is yet to settle following the victory of Seidou Mbombo Njoya as President of the Cameroon Football Federation, better known by its French acronym as FECAFOOT, as many Cameroonians have raised concerns over the conduct of the election.
Many Cameroonians have stated that the FECAFOOT presidency was simple handed down to Seidou Mbombo Njoya, whose father, Ibrahim Mbombo Njoya, had once been FECAFOOT President from 1960-1964.
Proponents of this view think that the victory of Seidou Mbombo Njoya was a well calculated and planned victory by FECAFOOT Normalisation Committee, who had been managing the affairs of FECAFOOT before the elections.

Some sources disclosed that the election was marred by irregularities, which were to the advantage of Seidou Mbombo Njoya, even though the National Times cannot independently confirm these allegations.
Unconfirmed sources revealed that the results of the FECAFOOT election had been known days before the polls as they had been general consensus among members of the Normalisation Committee to make Seidou Mbombo Njoya next FECAFOOT President.
The National Times also learnt that the management of FECAFOOT by Ibrahim Mbombo Njoya from 1960-1964 was generally praised by Cameroonians and the ‘handing down’ of the FECAFOOT Presidency to his son, Seidou Mbombo Njoya, was of necessity so as to effectively manage the football association like in the days of his father.
