Federation of Universities of the Islamic World, FUIW:



Maroua University enters Executive Council 
The 7th session of the Federation of Universities of the Islamic World (FUIW) was held on the 13th and 14th of February at the headquarters of the Islamic Organization for Education, Science and Technology (ISESCO) in Rabat, Morocco. The Rector of the University of Maroua, Professor Edward ObenAko was represented at the session by DrMikhailaSali, senior lecturer of Arabic.

Of the 15 university members of the Executive Council, five are African. These are: University of Maroua (Cameroon), University of Bayero (Nigeria), University of Menoufia (Egypt), King Hassan lll University (Morocco), International University of Africa (Sudan) and Islamic University of Uganda (Uganda).
        Other than the Federation of Universities of the Islamic World, the University of Maroua is also in the executive councils of the Association of African Universities and the Association of Commonwealth Universities.
