Anglophone Crisis:

Abducted NW Social Affairs Delegate Reappears
The Regional Delegate of Social Affairs who was abducted in Batibo by yet unknown persons is not dead. Nimbom Aaron Yong appeared in video supposedly posted on social media by his abductors.
Speaking in the video from where he is being kept hostage, Aaron Yong called on his minister to intervene fast and facilitate his release from captivity. He urged the minister of social affairs to ask the authorities in Yaounde to prove that the Ambazonia leaders that were arrested in Abuja Nigeria and airlifted to Yaounde are still alive.

Yong said it is only by so doing that his abductors, members of what he called the Ambazonia Defence Force, ADF, can spare his life, also noting that his captors have given him a 48-hour deadline to get this done else they sacrifice him.
It should be recalled that Nimbom Aaron was abducted in Batibo as he was attending a funeral there. The remains of his burnt service car was only discovered a day later in a neighbouring village in Batibo sun-division.
His abduction came bare a week after that of the DO of Batibo on 11 February 2018.
By press time yesterday the government had not reacted to the video post.
