Albert Esseme Ndille dies at 55!
Albert Esseme Ndille, former director of salaries at the ministry of finance is no more. Ndille succumbed to an illness in the evening of Saturday 24 May 2014, at the CNPS hospital in Yaounde. He was aged 55.
    At the time of his death Esseme Ndille was the Inspector-General in charge of Administrative and Budgetary Services at the Ministry of Finance in Yaounde.
    A seasoned public accountant (senior treasury inspector), Albert Esseme Ndille has occupied several positions in the central and external services of the ministry of finance. He was successively sub-treasurer (percepteur) of Tiko, chief of service of accounts at the general treasury in Yaounde, inspector of services at the directorate of treasury, divisional treasurer (receveur) of Fako, Limbe, director of salaries and later director of salaries and pensions. He was appointed the inspection general in charge of services at the MINFI in 2009.

    Born on 30 July 1959 in Tombel Koupe-Muanenguba Division, Albert Ndille was holder of several diplomas from the school of Administration and Magistracy, ENAM, Yaounde. He took courses in public management in schools in the USA notably the World Bank institute and the Adams Smith Institute. Albert Ndille also later bagged a degree in accounting at the University of Buea.
    He represented the ministry of Finance in the management boards of several state institutions notably CNPS, ISMP, University of Douala and Labogenie (he was president of the general assembly of Labogenie). Esseme Ndille was also a member of the commission of finance markets and a Knight of the Cameroon order of merit.
    A true and concerned son of Kupe Muanenguba, Esseme Ndille was hailed for building the first ever hotel in Bangem- the prestige hotel. A rassembleur par excellence, Ndille was the chairman of the committee that organized the crowd-puller and memorable home-coming ceremony in honour of Forestry and Wildlife Minister, Philip Ngole Ngwese in February 2012.
    After spending close to 30 years in the treasury administration (he joined the ministry of finance on 24 December 1984, Esseme Ndille was expected to retire from the public service this year.
 However, his name has featured in many press reports about an imminent cabinet reshuffle. Speculations by the press tipped him as favorite for the post of minister-delegate at the ministry of finance in Biya’s new government that is expected to be announced anytime soon. But Esseme Ndille opted to bow out now.
    He leaves behind his wife and kids, family members, friends, colleagues of the treasury and MINFI in general and of course, the entire SW region and Koupe Muanenguba in particular to mourn him. Adieu grand frère!
