Bui receives huge medical supplies

The Population of Bui Division on Wednesday May 27 converged on the esplanade of the Nso Fon’s Palace to receive huge medical supplies from the Bui Family Union. The medical equipment estimated at some FCFA 300 Million was officially handed over to the health institutions in the division in a colourful ceremony presided over by the Senior Divisional Officer for Bui, Theophile Nzeki.
     While handing over the gifts, the SDO expressed the need for peaceful co-existence and said the gifts are the fruits of decentralization. Mr Nzeki lauded BFU and NSODA for the realization. Given that the medical equipm
    NSODA General President Nformi Stephen Ndzerem Njodzeka acknowledged the project was realized thanks to BFU and NSODA leadership and local participation as well. He attributed the project to a request from the Fon of Nso Sehm Mbinglo I for medical assistance for the people of Bui.
    Nformi Stephen hailed those who contributed to the realization of the project especially the PM Philemon Yang, who facilitated the 100 percent tax exoneration on the equipment. He said NSODA is seeking to establish partnership with the government and other state institutions.

    On behalf of Bui elites, Mayor Fidelis Fonyuy Bernsah of the Mbiame Council lauded BFU and NSODA efforts in making the project a reality.
    Beaming with satisfaction, HRH Sehm Mbinglo I of Nso told BFU the fate of the division lies in their hands. He thanked all sons and daughters of the fondom at home and abroad for assisting in realizing the project.
    Dr Chris Bime, BFU-USA National President, who personally attended the event was elated seeing the dream of his organization come to fruition. Dr Bime said BFU has always stood by the people of Bui Division in the realization of projects within infrastructural development and health. He told reporters that BFU elaborated the project since 2009 with a US-based charity organization Med-Share. He disclosed the project is estimated at above FCFA 300 Millions. Dr Chris Bime was awarded the title of the Tardze,which gives him the responsibility to be the link between the people of Bui Division and Bui Nso in the United States of America.
    One of the beneficiaries from Vekovi Integrated Health Centre, Yah Dorothy Kiisa said her health centre lacked equipment to carry out procedures like sterilization. Among others, her health centre received a warmer, microscope, BP Apparatus, Examination Lamps and Otoclave. She said the equipment will improve the quality of services at the health centre.
    The ceremony, which was hotly animated started with an ecumenical service during which the Men of God prayed for peace and prosperity in Bui Division and for more projects to be realized.
