For winning more dev’t projects:

K’ba II mayor envied by SDF, CPDM peers

K’ba II mayor, Martin Forcha Ndobegang
There is an unholy competition for projects reigning among the five mayors of councils in Meme division of the South West region. The situation is compounded by mutual distrust and ego wars.
Reports from the field show the Kumba II mayor, Martin ForchaNdobegang, as achieving the most in terms of convincing development partners to give his municipality the pride of place in the distribution of development projects meant for the South West region.
Unfortunately, Mayor Forcha’s smartness is taken in bad taste by his peers of the other municipalities, who see his actions as infringing on their right to also win projects.
For instance the Kumba II Developed Integrated Health Centre project, the modern Kumba II Slaughter house and the Commonwealth of Nation’s economic forum in South Africa that the Kumba II council participated in are only some of the opportunities that the other councils accuse the Kumba II council of hijacking.
In an open confrontation recently concerning the Developed Health Integrated Centre, the mayor of Konye, Barrister Mossima George, who believed the project was destined for his municipality, employed all the CPDM barons in Meme including the paramount ruler of the Bafaws, Senator Nfon V.E. Mukete, to overturn the tables to no avail. NfonMukete allegedly refused to support the Kumba II case, arguing that he cannot stand behind the opposition.

For his part, the SDF mayor of the Kumba I municipality was overheard lamenting that his colleague of Kumba II has seized all important projects and is now proudly hitting his chest.
Explaining his style to the public recently, Mayor Martin Forcha said his assignment as mayor is to lobby for and win as many projects as possible for the people. He said the world of projects is vast and every active official in need of projects must be at doors of projects knocking and seeking. He said emphatically that projects are not splashed like water to all dry and wet lands but must be pursued and gripped.
A source holds that the invitation for the Commonwealth of Nation’s conference in South Africa which Mayor Martin ForchaNdobengang attended alongside the Secretary General of the Tombel council was meant for the Kumba III council but was smartly diverted by the Kumba II mayor.
In the face of the mutual suspicion and hatred amongst the elected officials, the monthly come-together which was conceived to talk development for Meme on a global front has virtually been compromised leaving everybody to stand as an individual.
