ANAFOOT officials urged to turn experience to success

Newly appointed officials of the Cameroon National Football Academy, ANAFOOT, have been told to used their rich, professional and dynamic experience in the sporting arena to attain the objectives of the institution.
                The called was made on June 5 by the Minister of Sport and Physical Education, IsmaëlBidoungMkpatt during the official installation of the members in Yaounde.
                “I urge you to employ your rich and dynamic experience in managing the actives of ANAFOOT. You should through the national football academy continue in the permanent quest for excellence. Your academy will have to train Cameroonians to perfect their performances, always to surpass themselves, to rise and stay at the top in their discipline in order to always carry high the standard of our dear fatherland,” BidoungMkpatt stated.
                Going by the Minister, they must have to act fast given the importance the Head of State, Paul Biya attaches to sports especially football.
                “You must have to act fast by putting in a good organisation that will bring in a lot of benefits to our nation. Your rich experience will help to foster our football,” The Minister added.
                While promising to stand by them, the Minister enjoined them to walk in collaboration with the various stakeholders that will enable them to succeed. To that effect, the Minister announced that the temporal ANAFOOT office will be located at the second floor of the administrative block of the YaoundeOmnisport Stadium.

                Speaking to reporters after the ceremony, the newly installed General Manager of the Academy, Carl EnowNgachu acknowledged that the missions of the academy are enormous but promised to work towards accomplishing the objectives of the institution.
                “We will do everything we can to attain the objectives of the institution. The missions of the ANAFOOT are enormous. It is a huge task. This is a new challenge that is open to me and I will give myself 100%. For the time being, we have to work on the texts, on the organizational chart as well as on certain statutes,” said EnowNgachu.
                “I can assure you that there will be no problem given because the FECAFOOT is going to accompany us. Do not forget that for a diploma to be internationally recognized, it must be signed by FÉCAFOOT. We are looking at a lot with the federation.”
                Above all, he will have to forget his Puma tracksuit with the effigies of the national women’s selection and his sports tennis to enjoy the comfort of his new job throughout the day.
                IssaHayatou, (board chair), Carl EnowNgachu (Director General) and Deputy Director General,JulesEloiMindjeme alongside other members of the Football academy were appointed last May 24 by a presidential degree.
                Created in 2014, the officials have a heavy task whose mission is to initiate and supervise young people to the practice of high level football; Initial and in-service training of trainers in the theoretical teaching and advanced football practice.
                They will also have to ensure the development of national expertise in football-related trades; the collection, preservation and dissemination of football documentation and basic and applied research related to football.
