Allegations of Crimes Against Humanity:

Fru Ndi Wants Biya At International Criminal Court
-Debunks Tchiroma’s ‘lies’ about Menka-Pinyin Massacre
SDF National Chairman, Ni John Fru Ndi, has suggested that President Biya should be brought before the International Criminal Tribunal, ICC, for crimes against humanity. Fru Ndi has also debunked ‘lies’ said by the Minister of Communication, Issa Tchiroma Bakary, about the recent killings in Menka-Pinyin in the North West Region of Cameroon.

The national Chairman of frontline opposition SDF party, Ni John Fru Ndi, has said that President Paul Biya will be made to face the International Criminal Court, ICC, to answer for crimes against humanity. Chairman Fru Ndi was speaking at a press briefing at the Ntarinkon headquarters of the SDF, on Wednesday, 30 May 2018, after a fact finding visit he paid to Menka-Pinyin, in the Santa subdivision of the NW region, where some over 27 young Cameroonians were brutally massacred by government forces for allegedly terrorizing the local populations.
The young men and women were rounded up in a local hotel and shot dead by gendarme soldiers in the early morning of the fateful day. Suspecting a cover-up by the government, Fru Ndi decided to visit the scene to see for himself what had really happened and to ascertain the crimes the victims could have committed to warrant such mass butchery.
Returning from Menka-Pinyin, Fru Ndi immediately convened the local and international press and told them that from the findings he made on the site, he had every reason to suspect a cover-up by government.
Fru Ndi said after talking to the locals and putting one and one together, he had come to the unshakable conclusion that the government had skeletons in its cupboard, reason why she ordered the soldiers to kill everybody on sight if only to wipe out any traces of evidence that could help in exposing the cover up.
“The Menka-Pinyin massacre is testimony that President Paul Biya really hates Anglophones and is ready to kill all of them if possible….After visiting Menka-Pinyin I have every reason to call Mr. Biya a blood-sucker. And this is how he has always killed people to suck their blood whenever elections are approaching….But Mr. Biya will not go free; he will have to answer for crimes against humanity at the International Criminal Court, in no distant future,” Chairman Fru Ndi said in a very vexatious tone.
The SDF Chieftain used the occasion to also debunk the claims by the Minister Tchiroma of Communication, Issa Tchiroma Bakary, that the 27 youths were massacred because they had been terrorizing the local populations and extorting money from them. Fru Ndi said Issa Tchiroma, who doubles as government spokesman, is a pathological liar. He rubbished remarks Tchiroma made at his press conference in Yaounde to explain the Menka-Pinyin killings, saying the remarks were all ‘lies’ intended to hoodwink the national and international public opinion.
The SDF National Chairman challenged the CPDM Government Spokesman to present the 20 hostages he claimed were rescued, and the guns and other ammunitions that he claimed were confiscated from the “criminals”.
Lamented that Cameroon has descended to the level where trigger-happy soldiers can now shoot and kill innocent citizens with impunity, Fru Ndi observed that in advanced and civilized countries, security forces pursuing suspected criminals, would neutralize and arrest the same and use them to obtain vital information that will either inculpate or exculpate the suspects or perhaps ascertain the veracity of certain claims.
“But in Menka-Pinyin, just everybody on the scene was killed….. If the government had nothing to hide or erase, why did soldiers follow the bike that accompanied one of the wounded victims to the hospital, pulled him and his brothers who were taking care of him, out of the hospital, took them back to Menka and shot them dead? This was simply with the aim to wipe out any traces of evidence or to eliminate anyone who could have evidence and information that could expose the cover up of the government,” Fru Ndi concluded.
In a related development, a woman, Gladys Ndeka, 58, who lost her two sons (Ndeka Simon and Ndeka Rodric), in the Menka-Pinyin massacre orchestrated by government forces, used the occasion of Fru Ndi’s visit to recall to the SDF Chairman how her brother; Mbah Gottfried Agwe, who was the District Chairman of the SDF party in Mbengwi, died mysteriously in 2011 and how her nephew, Mbah Bismarck Nji Fowa, jumped jail the same year, all because her entire family has been the target of ‘wicket and cruel’ security operatives.
Mrs. Ndeka said she recounted to Fru Ndi how she was once molested by plain cloth security men in 2017, who wanted her to release information about her late brother and his family. She extrapolated that the recent killing of her two sons in Menka-Pinyin could be connected to the killing of her brother few years ago.
