By Doh Bertrand Nua in Kumba
A Kumba-based lawyer and two other persons are now under
custody at the Kumba Central Police Station for question, after they were
arrested in connection to the killing of a Police Superintendent recently, The
Median has learned.
Barrister
Njeck Henry Teboh and the two other persons whose names we couldn’t immediately
get were kept in custody after being invited to give their statements on the
circumstances leading to the killing of
commissioner Tsimi. News of Njeck’s detention and the two other persons
filtered to the public on Tuesday July 10.
On
Wednesday, July 11, this reporter spotted some colleagues of the lawyer at the
Police station. They said they came to pay him a visit and to find out why he
was there. But at the time of filing this report on Saturday, we could not
independently confirm if the Barrister was still in custody or not.
Reports
we gathered have it that Barrister Njeck is a friend to the deceased
Commissioner and both are members of the Nkamlikum veteran football club.
Reports we couldn’t confirm have it that Barr Njeck and the two others were in
the company of ‘commissaire’Tsimi while unknown gunmen surface and shot him
dead.
It
should be recalled that Commissioner Tsimi was shot dead late Sunday evening
July 8, 2018 around the junction leading to CCAS Kumba beside a popular
drinking spot in the area
Reports
still to be confirmed by the Kumba Police have it that the murderers of
CommissaireTsimi were on Monday 9 July 2018 killed in the course of a crossfire
that ensued between soldiers and separatist gunmen. The reports said the
commisioner’s pistol that was confiscated by his killers was retrieved.
