Police Commissioner Shot Dead in Kumba

By Doh Bertrand Nua in Kumba
Commisioner Tsimi
For over three weeks unknown gunmen have launched an offensive on the Kumba Police force. The latest of such malicious killings is that of a four-star police Commissioner attached to the Kumba Central Police Station whose names we only got as Tsimi.
Reports we gathered have it that Tsimi was shot dead late Sunday evening July 8, 2018, around the CCAS Kumba junction. He was standing near a popular drinking spot in the area. This reporter couldn’t independently confirm if Commissioner Tsimi was drinking when he met his death.
But a source at the Kumba Central police station said the incident occurred while Tsimi was returning home from work.
As news of ‘Commissaire’ Tsimi’s demise spread across Kumba like bushfire, social media reports said his killers took him from his home, led him to the junction where they shot him dead.
Commissaire Tsimi was a member of the Nkamalikum veteran football club in Kumba, we learned.

Though no group has claimed responsibility for the dastardly act, accusing fingers are pointing at the Ambazonia hit and run boys, who for over three weeks now have launched a relentless war against the Police force in Kumba.
It should be recalled that, it was just last week that a kidnapped Assistant Police Superintendent, Akumbo Veronica, working at the Kumba Central police station, was freed by her abductors after spending four days in captivity with her grand daughter.
The lifeless body of another female police officer, Susan Nwenguela, was also recently found in Kumba days after she was abducted by unknown persons.
Susan Nwenguela was found in a nearby bush, by the road passing through the customs checkpoint in Kake Bokoko in Kumba I sub-division.
While the Kumba Police force is mourning Commissaire Tsimi, the Commissioner of Special Branch in Kumba II sub-division, Ngong James, who was also kidnapped, is still in captivity. Rumour has it that he has already been murdered. Pictures of Commissioner Ngong James have been circulating on social media with blood all over his face.
