SDF SW regional & Tiko district chairmen demonstrating power
Members of the SDF party, Tiko executive bureau members, militant s of the party family accompanied by the Tiko district party Chairman who doubles as Mayor of the municipality, Moukondo Daniel Ngande welcomed the SDF SW Regional Chairman, George Likiye to celebrate the party’s 24th anniversary at GS Likomba, Tiko.
The reason for the choice of Likomba to host the anniversary celebrations in the south west was as a result of the enormous contributions and support the Likomba people accorded the party especially during the 2013 twin elections during which the SDF gained grounds with an overwhelming victory over the ruling CPDM party.

Speaking during the anniversary ceremony, the regional Chairman, George Likiye applauded the efforts of the people of Likomba as he delivered their personal message from the National Chairman, Ni John Fru Ndi. Chairman Likiye went further to describe 24 years of existence for the party as not only celebrating power and achievement especially in Fako division where the party out rightly won the elections but they are celebrating “24 good years of maturity, 24 years of challenging the stubborn government to act in response of Cameroonians and 24 years of unveiling thieves in the system.”
The Chairman also added that his presence in Likomba is “to provide the militants with the necessary encouragement they need to forge ahead on how to grab not only council seats but also parliamentary seats in the next political confrontation, because Tiko municipality is the strong hold of the SDF party in the south west region”, he declared.
On his part, the District Chairman who doubles as Mayor of Tiko council, Moukondo Daniel Ngande, rated the SDF party after 24 years as being in total control within the Tiko municipality describing the party as very strong following their close to 4000 vote victory over CPDM in the electoral results.
In response on how he intends to guarantee and maintain the strength and prowess of the party in future within his district, the mayor said working as a team is the best ingredient needed for  SDF and its leaders and militants to maintain success in Tiko despite the constant regard he gets as an opposition leader because of his SDF ties. However, faced with some challenges, Mayor Moukondo assured the press of his prospect declaring that in order to succeed, you have to know where you come from and where you are going to, “i look at the indicators and assumptions put in place and I know how to forge ahead”, he added.
Mean while, some 16 vanguards of the party within the Tiko municipality were awarded medals as a mark of recognition to their services and efforts contributed to the growth and development of the party.
Rounding off the ceremony, the regional Chairman George Likiye threw some lights on some future projects of the party in which the hinterlands (Lebialem, Mamfe and Ndian) are the main targets reason being that the people in these areas have been brainwashed completely to the disadvantage of the SDF, as such, there is need for them to be enlightened on the true vision of the SDF.
