Recurrent/Investment Budget:

FCFA 1bn allocated for Meme Division in 2017

The sum of 943 206 255 Million francs CFA has been allocated by government as the budget for Meme division for the 2017 financial year. The amount was revealed by the divisional finance controller for Meme division, Lovett Mbile on the occasion of the launching of the 2017 financial year in the division recently.
                Addressing stakeholders at the Kumba City Hall, Mr Lovett Mbile observed that the recurrent budget has witnessed a drop, while the investment budget has witnessed an increase.
                Edifying participants at the meeting, Mr. Mbile urged all vote-holders and mayors to accredit themselves, appoint their stores accountants and avoid using pay slips older than three months. He emphasized on the respect of deadlines by the treasurers, noting that all treasurers have latest 5th of every month while the divisional treasurers have 10th of every month to submit their reports.
                The solemn ceremony which was aimed at x-raying the activities of the just ended year and seek a better way forward this year saw presentations on their respective 2017 roadmaps from various stakeholder regional delegates.

                The divisional delegates of economic planning and regional development, public works and administrative reforms, trade and commerce, customs amongst others presented their blue-prints.
                The divisional delegate of MINEPAT for example decried the non-respect of project deadlines by mayors, while the divisional delegate of MINMAP, GodloveBuinda frowned at the misappropriation of funds meant for road works by mayors. Buinda regretted that some mayors are still unable to pay for projects executed in 2015, while others are reluctant to engage projects put under them especially road projects.
                The launch was presided over by the second assistant senior divisional officer for Meme, Youngkuma Nelson Gamsi, who also frowned at the low turnout of some officials concerned as well as challenged the divisional finance controller to ensure strict respect for the attendance list of the launching in the disbursement in the credit cards.
