Andong Humphrey, YCPDM section president for Meme 1A poses with women during donation exercise

The YCPDM section president for Meme 1A, Kumba, has donated high yielding maize seeds to women of the section to help boost the crop cultivation and to encourage them to continue with farming despite the discouraging effects of the current Anglophone crisis.
Humphrey Andong launched the donation that has taken him across all the nine sub-sections in Meme 1A, at the Bonakama junction in Kumba, on 4 April 2018.
“It is a gesture to support the women in terms of agriculture because I have always taken agriculture as a priority since I am a rural boy,” Angdong said reporters, adding that as a foot-soldier of the CPDM party in the Meme 1A section, he thinks coming down to the sub-sections to distribute maize will make the militants to know that they haven’t been forgotten by the party.
The young and politically visible section president who has challenged his peers in the youth wing of the party leadership in Meme noted that it has always been his prayer for God to bless him with resources to come to the aide of farmers especially during the farming season. The donation of maize seedlings did not only limit the vibrant and dynamic president to the nine sub-sections but it as well took him to the various quarter heads of Meme 1A.

Quizzed on what he intends to achieve by donating maize seeds to farmers and militants, Andong indicated that it is an initiative geared towards laying the ground works for the party’s victory in all the forthcoming elections in 2018.
“Through this move I will also pick out all my militants and ensure they are registered in the electoral register to enable them vote whenever elections are called up in the party,” a visibly happy Andong said, swaggering that he is a man of the people.
The workaholic YCDPM Section president revealed the project which stands at the tune of FCFA 300 000 is solely his initiative. He however said h was counting on the initiative of party baobabs like Senator Otte Andrew Mofa, Senator Nfon V.E Mukete and the Government Delegate to the Kumba city council, Victor Ngoh Nkelle.
Speaking shortly after receiving the maize seeds at the launching at the Bonakama neighbourhood, the women leader, Ruth Nnoko on behalf of the women thanked the YCPDM section president for his good imitative sense of goodwill for thinking about them during the farming season and promised that they will make judicious use of the maize seeds. She like Oliver Twist told the donor that they will wish to have more donations as they keep extending the loyalty to the party as well as promised to swell up voter registration in the section.
