Section Presidents of the different sections of the CPDM in the North West region have been assured that permanent delegates of the party have not come to replace them or to undermine their roles.
Jean Kuete, CPDM Central Committee Secretary General made the assurance while installing the North West CPDM permanent delegates at the Bamenda Congress Hall.
After the towns of Maroua, Garoua, Ngaoundere, Bertoua, Ebolowa, Douala and Buea it was the turn of Bamenda on June 22, 2016.
The NW CPDM Regional Permanent delegation is headed by Prime Minister - Head of Government Philemon Yang with FonAneng Francis, Regina Mundi and Baba AhmadouDanpullo as members while Dr. NgwanaSama Bernard and Okie Johnson Ndohare the charges de mission.
The seven permanent divisional delegations of the CPDM for the NW are headed by Hon Nji Fidelis Muh-Ziah for Menchum, Shey Jones Yembe for Donga Mantung, WaingehNdim Albert for Boyo, Prof DanialLantum for Bui, AtangaNji Paul for Mezam and Prof. UphieChinjeMeloNgoketunjia
The divisional delegates were appointed by a decision of the national president of the CPDM, Paul Biya on 19 May 2016. The members of regional delegations were appointed way back in December 2015.
On the occasion, Jean Kuete called for solidarity among militants and said Bamenda as the baptismal city of the party is source of pride for all CPDM supporters.
The permanent representatives are expected to mobilize support, convert more militants and ensure the proper functioning of the party at the grassroots.
They newly commissioned delegates are also expected to improve the performance of the CPDM during different political elections.

Jean Kuete appreciated the maturity and discipline that reigned in the North West region during the reorganization of the basic organs of party.
“I say here, emphatically in Bamenda, that the CPDM is the business of the militants and          not that of a few”
The CPDM scribe paid glowing tribute to fallen CPDM comrades like John NguFoncha, S T Muna, Fonka Shang Lawrence, Francis Nkwain, Hon Tamfu amongst others.
While welcoming the CPDM SG and his entourage, the Section president for Mezam I, Cletus AnyeMatoya described the members of the permanent delegation to the NW region as “square pegs in square holes”.
He thanked the National Chairman for his exemplary leadership and dynamism and pleaded on him to stand for the 2018 Presidential Elections.
Cletus AnyeMatoya also pleaded with Biya to launch his campaigns for the said election in Bamenda.

Jean Kuete shown the ‘red card’
Jean Nkwete, CPDM Secretary General will never forget Bamenda. In fact those who took the pains to attend the official installation of Yang Philemon and his team went home more confused than ever before. This was because some CPDM militants brandished "red cards" in the hall to express their disgust with party hierarchy. The "red cards" which were allegedly prepared by some Mezam CPDM militants had diversified interpretations.
To many, the red cards were directed at party hierarchy for imposing a South Westerner as charge de mission in the NW coordination and for appointingunpopular militants to boss over elected party officials. Another school of thought held that the protest cards were the handiwork of some heady and eccentric militants.
Though the CPDM Scribe proved indifferent to the incident, a classified source hinted that Jean Nkuete before leaving Bamenda ordered that investigations should be carried out and the report sent to him within two days.
Also, as it is usually the case, at least 50 dance groups were hired to add pomp and fanfare to the event.
