Two young men intoxicated to death in a well

Two young men have been reported death at chief street BomakaBuea yesterday Wednesday 15th March 2017 after being intoxicated by gas in a well.
                The incident which happened yesterday at a certain Mr. Fominki’s resident at about 3.3opm yesterday sources say attracted a huge crowd. The story goes that these young victims who The Median newspaper got their names as Micheal (both victims) wanted to clean up the well for more water as usual since the well had gone water barren.
                To Mr. Fominki’s tenants, who better explains the story says “it was at about 3:30pm yesterday. Three of them had to work on the well. Two of them a technician, the other was a contractor. They had to use the engine pump which was short and could not get to the bottom of the well. It was because of this that they had to send the engine half way to enable the pipe extract the water….”
                After this had been done, one of the labourers didn’t wait for the carbon monoxide gas to evaporate out as he thought it wise to get into the well and being the job proper. Little had he gone with his job, this young man fainted in the well? The other friend Micheal, who discovered this rushed into the well to safe his friend. A rope was tied on him and he was pulled out. He was given mouth respiration to enable him breathe again.

                Micheal, who was also in the well, got trapped by the toxic gas. The young man loss consciousness and lay in a pool of water as the well was gradually getting filled by water again. At this point it was difficult for him to get help as only women and children were present said witnesses. It was only after the accident that the compound of Mr. Fominka was full with people weeping and screaming out loud while onlookers stayed baffled. This victim we gathered was immediately rushed to the Muea hospital for medications. Medical authorities at the Muea hospital couldn’t do anything as they complained they had no air. Although disappointed, the young man was rushed to Buea regional hospital. It was on his way to the hospital that he gave up the ghost.         
                Inhabitants of that area confessed that it was the first time in the neighbourhood that such a tragedy has occurred. The victims are currently in the mortuary awaiting burial.
